PC Peripherals Which UPS to buy? Need 1 hour backup. 520W PSU'd PC. Please suggest guys...

There is a 2 hour power cut everyday in my place and I need at least 1 hour of backup so that my work does not have a down time. I want to invest in a good UPS.

Quality and long life is a must. 1 hour backup for a PC with 520W PSU.

Can go for a 2 hour one if I can afford it.

APC 1.1KVA -- 4600

I dont think it can power your rig for even 1hr.
I think you'll get 30 min or less backup.

Which is good for saving your work and take nap for 1.5 hour :P

I need minimum 1 hour backup. My primary work is online and I am sure it would be worth the investment. Please suggest 1 hr backup sol.

apc sua2200. will work for 1-2 hours easily. currently using. its very nice.

but it is expensive and very big in size.

you could opt for sua 1500 also

Mention your complete system specs.
 
For 1 hr or more back up time you need a UPS which can handle a high capacity battery.The cheapest one from APC is the SUA 1000UXI will cost around 11k or so just for the UPS and you need to buy a pair of batteries of around 40ah capacity each to get that kind of back up.

I am in Salem Tamil Nadu and asked a couple of local dealers. No one deals APC because there is no APC service centre in salem.

How about Numeric UPS. Is that good enough?
