Which wifi router to buy?

Hey guys my friend is looking to buy a wifi router he has a 2mbps airtel connection

after going through some threads i have finalised on the following routers

1.Asus RT-N10 LX 150 Mbps

2.D-Link DSL-2750U

3.Asus RT-N13U Wireless N Router

4.Asus RT-N12 LX

so if anyone can suggest one amongst the three or totally reccomend a new one,that would be awesome also just a general doubt, will these "routers" also function like normal Ethernet modems? As in just connect using my desktop and browse normally. Because when we bought the Belkin I had to specifically check for Wireless Modem/Router.

I have the N10LX and it has a very poor range. I also have the N13, and that has a better range by far. Both are without modems.

iinm, D Link are not very reliable from what i read on other forums.

And its not just one or two models.They have few issues, so do your research before you go ahead.

First 1st question is how did you even finalized the list when you were not even sure what does what ?

Only 2750U is Modem+Router.

Naaaa dont like the belkin ones that much cuz the last modem/router bricked

If you can get hold of RT-N16 grab it. Its one of the best routers with huge RAM and Flash.

wipe the stock fimware with tomato(expecially shibby AIO - All In One builds), you wont regret it.

if you are looking for value for money with performance at par with more expensive routers, buy D Link. no prob. with belkin, but they will be more expensive.
