PC Peripherals which'd be faster??

Eh there are a lot of factors... latency, memory controller, chipset. There's no way to compare. However if you wanna compare DDR2 667 on a P4 to DDR600 on A64, its a no contest.... A64 is much more efficient in using the bandwidth.

DDR2 intel only :bleh:
yessir gotcha say testing an Nforce 4 SLI and the intel edition...??

What about when the DDR2 800 Mhz becomes standard?? will that displace DDR 600 as the fastest....

Also AMD is going DDR2 also, was talking about future predictions not past history...testing is what Chaos is uno @ so well...others also... just wanted an opinion....
knew already what u are saying..

now a days ddr2 667 on intel = ddr 400 on amd :)
when amd will shift to ddr2 if intel carries out with its netburst architecture ddr2 on intel will be easily overcomed by ddr2 in amd even it will be rock solid.
it doesnt make difference if ur using nforce 4 sli intel edition its the memory controller on amd its on chip on intel not so whatever it happens amd is way ahead of memory with intel :)

Intel has to get some way of doing away with the conventional FSB...See macs way of running multiple FSB's...AMD's way is even better.

Its all about the latency between access points..
Also I remember reading somewhere about XDR ram making its way into graphics card memory by 2008....

Now if that happens what about DDR3 for desktops? Would be nice...
And an x4 dedicated PCI lane for HDD's..so we can raid or not...and get our 300 mbps or at least close..

holy shit .. all i know this is never gonna stop then will come holographic storage lol.. my cousin has a machine with Intel 850EMBV2 motherboard it supports RD Ram he has 256 Mb with only 1.5 ghz pentium i dunno y the machine is blazingly fast just fast the ram runs at 1000 MHZ i saw in bios lol.
