^agree. But generally when I login to TE first thing I do is Click on "Get New Posts" and max threads comes out belongs to GT/Market/Mobiles.

IIRC someone had already suggested if we can have customized "Get New Posts" that would help many to be less distracted in GT.

bsically thats the problem. You can argue that you can use the custom get new posts url, but I cant acess that everywhere, and too much of a headache. also why I posted if we could have the hack for customizing new posts. But still for most, when they hit new posts, its all these other threads they see, so effectively its still no good

Making the market section a separate entity doesn't make sense. If its a separate entity, it would mean a fresh member base leaving the present members in a lurch. If we carry on the same TE member base, it wouldn't be a separate entity then would it?

What I meant was , instead of using itrader , where sales and bumps are represented as forum posts , and so again add up to the too many irrelevant posts, why not use something like vbclassified or photopost classifieds

they're seperae pages , but integrated with vb, whichs means the existing member base can use them
 
At least can we have reps removed for the General Talk section. The green dots are just misleading. That will give a much better indication of a user's contribution to the technical sections.
 
Could the way the itrader rating is displayed in market threads be updated to make it look like it is in the profile page?

as in..

the profile page shows trader score + overall percentage.

the market threads however, show only the score. Would make a lot more sense to have percentage also visible on the same page.

Someone IIRC did mention this before and the suggestion wasn't obliged.

Looks a lot easy for us to mention all these. I wonder the amount of codes that'd have to be compiled to bring abt this change by the admins. I was a sucker at programming. :ashamed:

Ok cool, so the main issue is with Get New Posts - we'll see what we can do about this :)

Safin says vBClassifieds is worse :P; personally with the amount of features put into iTrader I'd stick with iTrader as well. As and when its updated to a newer version we can fit in any needed tweaks.

Sounds good, will try to get it done when iTrader is being updated.
 
You can now select the forums that you want excluded from the "Get New Posts" search. All you have to do is -

1. Go to User CP -> Edit Options.

2. Scroll down the page.

3. Find Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts" under "Miscellaneous Options".

4. Select the Forums you want excluded from "Get New Posts" search. Tip: Hold down the Ctrl key while clicking to select more than one option.

5. Save changes and you're good to go.
