Everyone knows vBulletin 3.7 has been released long time back. it has lots of new features, with special stress on social networking functions.

Nearly, every forum has migrated to the newer release.

Wonder why Te is still running obsolete forum software?

Admins, please find time from your busy schedule and upgrade:P

Is there any advantage in upgrading? I mean, I like TE for the clean and simple interface that it presents right now. I would prefer if things did not get complicated or a bunch of unnecessary options are made available.

FE is already using the new VB version. The networking feature rocks. Will be a great help if its implemented here.

We will implement it when we have the time and when i find time to port rig gallery.

You would have noticed that vbulletin.org(the mod site) of vbulletin is still running 3.5x series itself. The dependent code has to be upgraded first and when that has been done, we will think of an upgrade. Its going to take time.

@bluffmaster, only "social network" feature enabled on FE is the profile message.

If you implement the version 3.7 , do not activate that pathetic profile that comes along with ver. 3.7.. I just hated it :@ and vb has added few useless features like profile community an all.. Whats the use of having a community inside a community

Its quite amazing how the same question like you have asked is asked everywhere thinking its a snap of fingers and upgrade is done. Oh well look over here,

vb.org @ 3.7.0 - vBulletin.org Forum

vb.org still on 3.6.x? - vBulletin.org Forum

So when us "free timer" souls(Apex has got his life also) will get some time to code, we will ofcourse reveal something new. I hope you would appreciate that checking out threads and replying is not the same as coding.
