Did I break some rules?
Hey you use accurate words.. you did break 2 rules.
One it was originally a TT article. and secondly the images were still hotlinked to TT which we dont allow.
Other than that the prices were old too.

Ok ok... gotcha... but ppl do post stuff(exact copies) they've found on the net all over the forum... so had I mentioned my reference and not hotlinked the images... my post wud have been allowed?(not that Im going to attempt it again). O and the prices were for may 2006.

Well TT is never known for accurate pricing anyway.
And yeah if you mention the source and dont steal soemone else' bandwidth then you can do it. Moreover dont post everything here, just leave some of it on that page so that interested users can visit if they want. Just copy the jist of it.

Priyoban - Yes, exactly that & leeching bandwidth has two major issues :

1. Everytime we open your thread, the images have to be loaded up from TT, so say TT servers are slow for that day - the page loading time of your thread would also increase dramatically. Not to mention, stealing b/w is considered by many as not the wise thing to do.

2. What if TT swaps those images with say a "p0rn image" - & this scenario has happened on TE before. That's why we ask you to always upload your images to a image hosting server or use our own attachment feature before posting on TE.

Irrespective of the site in question, what's wrong is wrong - whether its TT or NASA is immaterial. Hope you understand & would take care next time.

As you said, if you had mentioned the source & not hot-linked images all would be fine.
