So.. what you guys are actually saying is that we dont really have decent gaming mice other than the ones from Logitech ?

Naw...it depends on surfaces.. That's why razer has two very different spec surfaces... their mantis speed and control...

We've got a couple for tests and I feel they've goofed up even there. My titan kicks mantis's speeds butt...seriously....

Anyways the CH is too small for my hand, so no verdict on that.. No such problems with the G5, but then I'm not a pro gamer am I.....

Um.. Vandal..

The Titan Everglide, has the same surface as the Mantis Speed :|. Exactly the same. What are you saying? Lol..

@ Stormie, Now, we are allowed to install drivers anywhere, for any Tourney.

Also, We only need drivers to run on 1000Hz. The mose is more than fine with normal mouse drivers.

@ AshR, The mouse doesnt skip at all @ 500Hz.

Karan from this forum itself used to use it with an eXactMat. He shifted to a Mantis, as he realised the eXactMat was ruining his mouse skates.

I agree with Stormblast about 1 thing, its all about comfort, and just about the mouse not skipping. You have than, then only the Mouse pad matters :).

although the titan & mantis speed both use the same surface. they are still indeed different. even ashr dint believe me at 1st. i had both the pads at my place for a long time. the titan was much smoother than the mantis speed using my ms 1.1.

also drivers are not allowed everywhere. they were allowed at 1st 3 wcgs. but the next 3 they were not allowed. either the ms intelli were installed on some pcs or u had to play with windows default. & for local tourneys including india wcg i am sure u know how the scene is here when u ask to attach hardware or drivers. i am not talking bout local cafe but big local tourneys.
& the razer CH really works horrible on windows default mouse drivers. no matter what u say. they really suck on it n the mouse moves really weird with them feeling that the sensor has some problem. but they work fine once razer drivers are installed.

^^ That didnt happen with me for some reason?

I forgot the install the drivers after a format, and was using it for CS.. With no issues. Sensi felt same as w/ Drivers :S.

^the mantis speed and the everglide titan are NOT the same. looks like a misconception created by that infamous driverheaven review which seems to be the only one comparing the two and it says they feel exactly alike.. i have no clue why it says that.. maybe they did feel the same at that time and it's possible that razer changed the surface after that. how do i know that they aren't alike? i didn't believe b2 at first when he told me but rey (amar) had a titan at france and i liked it so i wanted to get one. we went to the store which only had the mantis speed and i bought that thinking they were the same. when we got back to the hotel room and compared them side by side with the db and wmo, they were COMPLETELY different. the mantis speed feels like sandpaper for the 1.1's feet :/

also like i said before.. using the CH at 500hz (which still skips on icemat, i've read) is just you finding a WORKAROUND for their poor qc. it's like you buying a dual core processor and then settling for one core not working (bad example but you get the idea). if they said 1000hz... it SHOULD work at that. the first thing most guys do is plug it in and install the drivers. if they didn't know what polling rate was or where to get help (the official razer support hardly offers anything), they'd be playing with a botched mouse after spending quite a lot of cash on it.

the problem when people begin to settle for less is that these mice companies think they can give us shit for a 100 dollars and get away with it. luckily, thanks to some public outcry, Razer's gone back to optical... now what does that say about people's opinion on laser?

anyway, this thread isn't about the CH or laser in specific but rather about Razer's negligence when releasing mice.

Ashwath, since you're in Canada spend $25 (including shipping) and get the fatal1ty pad, you won't regret it... smooth, just like the titan - you'll love it. You know I've tried a few but stuck with the fatpad in the end.

fatpad / old dkt (not the new 1) are the best 2 pads ever. have been trying to get my hands on fatpad since 3-4 years but still havent got 1.

Stormy, fatpads are only available from fatal1ty store... and they ship international but it's expensive since they use Fedex. If you ship to the US, total cost is $22 or $25 (can't remember) and it works out well (and cheap) if you have someone returning. But I don't think I'll even try another pad after the fatpad, great for Quake and works well with both my Razer db and MX310.

EDIT: Maybe I should do a fatpad order next

guys guys...i have never had a problem with my Razer, besides from what i hear the warranty support is grt from razer.

you can contact their local distui for support in case of problem. t-40053911
