Why Onida DVD Players

Mods and Friends Sorry if you think I am opened too much New Topics for DVD Players but I am confused and want you to help me to take a decision.

Today when I was Out to Buy DVD Players Dealers Make me totally confused.

How ? Read Further

Out of 16 Dealers only One have Philips 5106k @4500/- gives only 6 month warranty. and LG DS 9533 @3300/-

When I visit my Friends shop he Told me that Philips 5106k and LG DS 9533 is Crappy (nalla). and he suggest me to Buy any Onida DVD Player (Onida 8520 @4250/-) while I ask him about chipset used in Onida he unable to answer and I move further.

On Next shop I found that Dealer have Good Review about Philips and LG DVD Players and ask me to Name any model and he will make it available to me by Evening, he have some models but I don't like them. He also suggest me to go for Onida DVD Players.

Now my Question is why all Dealers in Mumbai Suggest Onida when I didn't find any information except company website?

Does Onida DVD Players Really a Good Quality?

Please reply me.

I am thankful to any one who straight advised me to buy a particular model without hesitation.

People are advising Onida players because it's able to play scratchy discs. I went out to buy a dvd player with a friend in Delhi some days back and he also ended up buying the Onida. The dealer had some scratchy discs which he played on LG, Samsung, Philips but it didn't play and then he played the disc on Onida and it played smoothly.

I am having a pioneer dvd player though which I bought from the grey market and it has been running fine for 3 years.

Which model of Pioneer DVD Player you have and at what cost you Buy it? Does it Play MPEG4, DVD RW, Divx and Xvid?

Which Onida model your friend buys and at What Price? Which of Philips Model Dealer Used to Test Scratch DVD?

Sorry I asked too much but please try to ans as it will help me to decide for Player.

Thats another reason to go for it...

I got a pioneer will do good for me..

I suggest you got for on which has a dvix compactibility
 
i just bot a dvd player 3 days back and my dealer also advised me to buy Onida.

But i bought Lg DS9533 coz it plays divx also.

And i am dead sure that they are promoting Onida coz the margins on them will be higher. This concept of being able to play scratchy discs is nothing but a mktg gimmick.

Go get the ds 9533. I got it for 3200.

At what price and from where did you buy it?

Does this Player have 5.1 ch, so that you can plug External Speakers latter on?

Finally I buy LG DS 9533.

Just to ensure what I get is the same you suggested.

Does the full Name on Box is LG DS9533 CPM

Please reply so I can ensure my self that I have DVD Player with Mediatek Chipset.

From where u bought that n does it play any format(divx,xvid,dat,wmv,wma,mpeg etc). Please give me the shop's address as even i wanna buy one dvd player..
 
For more updates,

I here by request all of you that Please DO NOT BUY any Onida DVD Player, cause my Friend have little issue with Onida DVD Player and he have to visit Service Center and As per him he hear from Operator that in first 15 days of Aug-2006 they have 125 Complaints for Onida DVD Player only from 1 area which do not cover entire City also.

Even one Reputed Local Electronic Spares and Repair house owner advise me never by any Branded DVD Player from Indian Mfg. as all have cheap chinees chipset models rather than just go to any chap DVD Player, which have same life span as we have with Branded.
 
when itcomes to electronics...indian products rnever trusty........i got a gift videocon tv...and it almost ruined my eyes.....after i sold it.....i went to frnd house he too had videocon stuf and that too had gone........
