Hello,
I'm new here.
The problem is with updating Widows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2(x86).
It does not update automatically or manually.

The Update Service says that I have 75-80 MB of update to be done but when I run the update, it simply doesn't download or install.

I have tried all the links that MS provides.

Please Help! :S

If you are using pirated OS, then you will not able to update sp2 but sp1 is possible through offline installers , if having genuine OS install sp1 first & then sp2 as mentioned above.

if you are getting too much issues. install a new copy of the os, don't do any *ahem* stuff, let it remain 30days trial, get genuine validation, install sp1 and then sp2, buy the os. :)

how about downloading the SP2 manually and installing.
I have SP2.

The problem is with Automatic updates & installation, it always fails.

Are you sure you have enough disk space? Are you sure you are running in Admin rights? Legit OS? I mean authenticated by MS?

Yes, I guess I need to install a new. And this time I will buy Windows 7 and install. Vista is sloppy especially Service Pack 2.

Thanks to others for replying!
