My comp config is as in my signature,

Yesterday while playing a game i noticed wierd artifacts,
After exiting the game i restarted the rig and now the artifacts where everywhere :S firefox, rocket dock ( crashes as soon as i click something on that) etc

Initially i thought gfx card went kaput so i removed the gfx card and plugged in on board nvidia 7050, still same problem.

Today morning i switched on my rig again, now i notice that everything is looking greenish :( :(

Another observation is movies etc are playing well no problem what so ever and rig is also stable ( no random restarts etc )

Only artifacts :(

Any suggestions or observations ?

yup, if gfx and onboard dont make a difference, it has to be the monitor. Try using another monitor and see if any difference.

dudes Movies and all are playing very well no hitch.
So i think monitor is ok anyways i will check with another monitor.

The problem is when apps like directx games, firefox, aero in vista etc are open :(

run memtest86 on your RAM.

Running windows memory test ( Windows Memory Diagnostics tool ) now

Will post the results soon

Will try ubuntu too, but i think OS is not an issue since the problem is there in both Windows Xp as well as Windows 7

Current testing done:

1) Checked in XP -- Artifacts are thr Screen takes a greenish tinge after a minute.

2) Checked in Windows 7 --- Rig refuses to go beyond login screen after removing the gfx card and comp restarts.

3) Ubuntu --- Artifacts are there and more than windows.

4) Ran Windows memory Diagnostic tool and no errors reported.

Wierd part is Comp is stable it wont restart and no random hangups :(

Tests Still to be done

1) Plugging in LCD to another Rig to check if monitor is kaput.
2) Run Memtest86
3) Change Ram and check.

If anything else needs to be tested suggest.

I will post screen shots as soon as i go home

Update :

LCD working Fine --- Tested by connecting it to my laptop

Rams Working fine mostly --- Tried to run on single ram and tried all the slots same problem persists.

Now running memetest86

Any suggestions ????
