Hi

I have a Reliance NetConnect usb dongle based internet and everything was fine until today morning and then suddenly, https(secure) links stopped working in firefox, my default browser.I tried IE and IE is completely not working.
I tried another browser just in case and everything is working just fine in Opera.

So IE-No Internet
Firefox- No https
Opera- Normal

What the hell is going on :(

Please Help.

I have antivirus disabled, firewall disabled, cleared cache/cookies, flushed dns, restarted system multiple times.

Win7 64bit OS.

Tried the malware checker link on firefox, safe.

Tried changing dns, problem still there :-(

@Arun1 I think the issue might be related to DNS. Goto the Reliance netconnect application > Setting. There will be an edit button there, click it and then click the advanced button. Then proceed to the DNS option and select static DNS and in the 2 boxes below enter 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which are google dns entries. See if it resolves your issue.

Yeah that's where I changed the dns, used google dns and tried a bunch other public dns too but the problem is still there.

Do you get cryptographic service errors in Event Viewer? Verify that these services are set to automatic and started in windows.
1. Cryptographic services
2. IP helper
3. RPC
4. RPC endpoint mapper
5. Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol

Also enable SSL and TLS in FF and IE settings if they are disabled.

I can't belive but changing the last one SSTP from manual to automatic managed to get IE back online.
Thanks :-)

Firefox still having problems with https :-(

SSL 2.0 and TLS 1.0 are enabled by default in both FF and IE.
I even enabled the other versions of SSL and TLS available in IE options for extra measures.
https websites just show blank in FF, no error messages or anything.
Completely removed FF, registry cleaned and reinstalled it, still the exact same problem.
