Can you please help me how to setup wifi connection in Ubuntu OS.... I am facing a lot of problem in setting up the wifi connection so I request you to help me in sorting out this problem...

You can start by posting some details, like what is the exact model of laptop or desktop (wifi card) you are using. And also what version of Ubuntu - hopefully its the latest 10.10 or the soon coming 11.04 versions :)

For 10.10 it is fairly simple, can you see the network connection icon on the right upper corner of the screen?Click on it,you will see all available networks(wired and wireless).

Open the control center, find network connections, see wireless tab, and then configure one wlan connection by giving security type, network name and passkey. Thats it. Also if your computer have a physical key to enable wifi, turn it on before doing the process.

if you are dual booting your PC then try and see if it works in windows. If it does it should work in ubuntu also.... try ubuntu forums also

Ubuntu does NOT ship with 3rd party drivers like ATI Catalyst Drivers & Broadcom WiFi drivers.. So you first need to connect the Laptop using Ethernet, then install the Broadcom WiFi driver and then you can remove the Ethernet cable & continue in WiFi.

How I know this ? coz I am using Ubuntu since 8.04 and there is really no other option..

Happy Linux'ing.. :ohyeah:
