In general, if you can extend/pull cables around the house, I would rather do that and attach a router that can double up as a repeater to the other end of the ethernet cable if you absolutely need wifi. This works much better. If you need a wifi repeater, in all probablity, you will still face issues after installing the repeater. There are other issues with channel collision with the repeaters and they might not have that much software support to help you debug or configure them the way you want.
