WiFi from a Vodafone 3G USB dongle...

The only option for internet my cuz in Goa has is via a Vodafone 3G USB dongle. He would like to have wifi so the connection can be shared - PC, laptop, mobile.

What's the best way to get wifi from Vodafone 3G USB dongle ?

Do you use laptop? if yes, you can download connectify software and use your laptop as wifi access point.
You can very well buy a portable router which let you share the 3G connection, just google it
 
If you can share the model number of the Vodafone USB dongle, we can identify a compatible router.
 
that's another prob, my cuz won't buy the dongle until he is sure he can get a router for it. i was hoping someone would say ' i got this vodafone dongle and this router and it works' .

i told him to contact vodafone as per post #2.
 
Any particular reason to buy the dongle from Vodafone? You could simply buy a known and working modem/router combo from elsewhere and use a Vodafone sim in it.
 
Hey OP, I have used my Vodafone USB 3G dongle, with an MTNL 3G SIM, and shared this connection using Connectify software. Works fine. No need to invest in a router again.
