Wifi router or ADSL/wifi modem

Hi,
I need wifi connection to connect to a laptop. I already have BSNL broadband with ADSL modem UT-300R2U. So should I go for a wifi router or should I get the BSNL type II modem with ADSL + wifi inbuilt. Which one would be better?
 
If you are looking for a no-frills device that offers decent wireless range and a standard feature set, the wireless router (HUAWEI?) provided by BSNL should do.

However, I doubt if they will provide decent support (replacements?) for it.

If otherwise, shell out a little more and get something from the likes of Asus, Belkin, Linksys or Netgear...
