Need to buy a new wifi router as the last one I had died, Need something no-frills. No modem and just to connect my laptop/phone/tablet. Distance is hardly 10-20 meters.

I have this. Terrible range with the default firmware. Works great with DD-WRT.

Will do 20-25 meters if there is a single wall in between. Multiple walls just kill the signal.

I bought one recently. It's ok. Range isn't great.
The speeds barely 10-15Mbps in my bedroom (25 feet away, 1 thick wall in between). And about 5Mbps in the loo. 20 feet and 2 walls away.
On the plus side, it's stable, the connections never dropped, and for using it to surf the net and occasional file transfers it's more than adequate.
I got it for about Rs.1100 at Reliance Digital. I was planning on buying the Asus RT-N10E, but chanced upon it while shopping, and decided to pick it up instead.

Bought Asus RT-N10E from FP. 5 hrs using it, dropped connection once. hopefully wont end up ruing this purchase.
