I'd love to own a Wii if Nintendo actually supported it here in India, but since it's unlikely they ever will, I'll have to sadly pass.
 
From what i have heard it doesn't suffer from things like RROD or anything like that and you can easily get spare controllers, etc . So it shouldn't be much of a problem.
 
Getting the games at the right prices and more importantly, getting the games that I actually want to play would most certainly be a problem.
 
The games are easily available on various sites,
The console is also available in india in grey markets, but the other hardwares like guitar for the guitar hero game wont be available since its available only with the game, hence you cat use the console fully... :-(
