Hell has no fury like a woman scorned
Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales found himself in quite a bit of trouble after breaking up with his girlfriend, Canadian TV celeb Rachel Mardsen.
Wales apparently used Wikipedia to announce to the world that he had had it with Mardsen and that he had only met her in person in February. Innovative to say the least, and to think that people believe geeks don't have a way with women.
However, this might not be the best way to break up with anyone, let alone Mardsen who pleaded guilty to criminally harassing a boyfriend back in 2004. Vengeance is in the air and Mardsen has started auctioning off Wales' clothes on eBay with the following description of the items offered online: "Hi, my name is Rachel and my (now ex) boyfriend, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, just broke up with me via an announcement on Wikipedia".
Apart from the clothes, Mardsen also has in her possession some saucy instant message transcripts. In one of the messages Wales talks about designing a "Google killing search engine" so he can buy himself a jet. The others, well let's just say they've got no place on an IT site. Much like this whole story.
