Will any ADSL Router work with BSNL

I use BSNL 900 UL Broadband plan. I have 2 parallel lines running for the same telephone number, one of which ends in my room on the first floor and the other in my office on the 2nd floor.

Right now, I have only one Huawei MT841 modem provided by BSNL which I have to carry from my home to my office and back everyday. I am planning to buy another ADSL modem so that I can keep one in my room and the other at office so that I don't have to keep moving them.

I want something thats not too expensive but is adequate for my needs. Is the Dlink GLB-502T good? Can it be configured to autoconnect with BSNL? Also what is its market price?

Any alternative suggestions will be welcome.

Go for DLINK GLB 502T, have been using it for quite a time now and it runs perfectly fine. If you are looking for features then this is it, cause everything else no doubt is a router but are crippled once. If you need help can help you with configuring the same.

I purchase this one sometime back in Pune @ 1.5k

^^^ Thanks a ton for the info. Do you know if it can be configured to autoconnect and have you tried doing that?
autoconnect? lol there's there with any adsl modem(which will certainly have pppoe function :) )

Hehe ... didn't know that ... am an utter newbie when it comes to modems/routers. Now that I need to buy one, I should be in a position of going straight from n00b to guru in a week. :)
