Will i have any benefit upgrading to DDR4 32GBx2 64GB RAM?

I am thinking to do ai stable diffusion and video upscaling work and also editing. Currently i have 16gb which nowadays full fills easily. So for an upgrade should i go with 32gb or 64gb?

System: R5 5600, rtx 3060 12gb

Used it more than a year ago but the model runs well only when it is running solely on the GPU and VRAM. Offloading to the system RAM and thus the CPU really really slows down the processing. So for AI, only more of VRAM and unified RAM makes sense.

For gaming, most don't even creep over 16 GB of system RAM, so it is mostly useless for that as well.

so far i have seen for the games usage, RAM never go beyond 16GB, it gets saturated there, doesn't go up, unless if you go for Multiple Virtual machines, there is no point in upgrading beyond 16GB RAM, it is more than enough, if u may go for 9600X the AM5 2nd GEN stable CPUs, then, its good to go for 2 x 16GB DDR5 RAM @ 5GHz+ sticks, as it is a Worthy upgrade and is purely my personal opinion...

He has already said that his usage involves more than just gaming, he also does video editing and AI related stuff too.

hmm, yeah, if it is AI oriented upscaling work, then 64GB RAM is ok , but its waste of investment in a DDR4 ram @3600MHz, if u really want to go for an upgrade, for AI stuff, u got to match the speed of the cpu with the speed of ram, that is the BOTTLENECK in DDR4 RAM, so the latest gen 9600x with 5GHz speed and the matching 5GHz+ DDR5 will give you certainly humongous advantage in performing such work, also as the speed is an advantage here, u can still play with 2 x 16GB that is 32GB DDR5 RAM, with less investment.. if u compare it with 64GB Ram
