Now that you have brought it up, let me mention that the 101 G2 was not available anywhere online for purchase when I tried. You really need to look into your distribution network.

Kingston drives are not as widely available as Transcend or Sandisk. While I prefer Kingston over Transcend or Sandisk, I have to buy the other two brands as buying a Kingston means visiting a brick and mortar store and buying at MRP as against buying the other 2 online at a discount.

e.g. Consider letsbuy.com which is a very popular online shopping portal on TE. It lists 27 models from Transcend, 31 models from Sandisk but only 8 from Kingston.

Please take this as a constructive suggestion...

great. WIll it still work if water gets inside the circuitry ?

^^ It worked after it was dried thoroughly. In fact, most drives will work if they are used after drying them thoroughly.

I remember my Nokia 3310 falling into water once. I removed the battery, unscrewed the circuit board and allowed it to air dry for 3 days. On the 4th day, I reassembled it and it was working as good as before!

this is nothing special about kingston.. pen drives from most of the brands will work even after getting washed if they are allowed to dry up properly before using hence not risking to shot circuit the chip.

my transcend and sandisk pen drives have been accidentally washed lots of times .. by hand and in the washing machine.. they came out absolutely fine.. this quality is nothing exclusive to love kingston for.. infact, if you wanna talk about durability, one of the best pen drives available are from corsair..

moreover, they even provide much better read and write speeds than all these brands and dont even charge a very hefty premium.. maybe 50 to 150 bucks more expensive than the general pen drives..

I have three drives - corsair mini, sandisk cruzer and kingston g3. All of these have gone and finished several cycles in washing machines. (Most of the time because of my carelessness and once because of my friend's carelessness). These still work fine. Though corsair's holding notch is broken and I have to hold it tight with my fingers while inserting into USB port.

In fact Corsair has gone into sea water and remained hidden in sand for an hour or so. When I believed all was lost, I sudddenly saw this underneath the sand and I am still using it as my primary drive for data transportation
