Monitors Will monitor be replaced when dead pixel arises?

Hii frnds ... i want to know which company among LG, Benq, Acer and Dell will replace the lcd monitor if a dead pixel appears on da screen .... my local dealer is saying dat no company gives a replacement for dead pixel :huh: ??? .... is dat true ??

also suggest a gud 18.5" lcd as only 18.5" models are available here!

dead pixel are covered under warranty !! At least Dell and Benq do provide dead pixel warranty.

Manufacturers mention the number of permissible dead/stuck pixels in their warranty terms. No manufacturer will replace the monitor for 1 dead pixel (AFAIK).

For eg, if they say the tolerance is 5, then it means having upto 5 dead pixels is considered normal and wont be replaced under warranty. If you have 6, you can ask for a replacement.

On premium panels (such as UltraSharp models), Dell has Single dead-pixel replacement warranty.
