Will my 1.5-2 years old GP650AA cut it or should I upgrade to a Corsair HX 850 watts?

PS: And 2 DVD RWs too

Also, any alternative to HX 850 like AX 750 or something?

Dude going by your stature, you should probably be investing in the TT Toughpower 1200 or the Corsair AX 1200. HX850 is making you stoop so low TB. That's the best you can get? Rly?

I never waste money.

I am forced to buy a 6970 to play Crysis 2 maxed out. And to use a 6970 I am forced to get a HX 750 or above. However, HX 850 will probably last me even for the AMD 7xxx + Intel Ivy League OC series. So it is better value for money.

Yeah right! With all those D&G, CK, Tommy Hilfiger shit and countless posts on the top 100 universities for under 100Cr. in the Milky Way, the last thing you want to say is that.

On topic, your power supply may support your system but may not work at its efficient best.

What makes you think a HD5850 won't be able to play Crysis at Hardcore settings? Whats your screen resolution?

I have tried the multiplayer demo. For a good experience, I need 50-60 FPS avg and min around 40 FPS.

And even according to Nvidia a GTX 460 or slightly better card can't deliver close to that at Hardcore even at 16x10 leave alone 19x10.

A 6970 will probably last another 6-12 months or so and will handle these things much better.
