will office xp or office 2007 work with windows 7

Just bought a new laptop from the US. It came with windows 7.

Just wanted to know if Office XP or Office 2007 can be run on windows 7

Also in case anyone knows if quicken 2007 runs on windows 7 pls do let me know that also.

donno about office XP but office 2k7 works really well on windows 7. have been using it for quite sometime.

Office 2k7 will definately, offive 2k might also work. BTW install 2k7, why to go for older version when new version is already at hand. 2k7 is cool and better than 2k. try it mate.

Office 2007 works perfectly fine. Running since Jan, without any problem.

Yes Office XP, Office 2003, Office 2007, and Office 2010 work with Windows 7.

TO NOTE:

Actually, there is a compatibility issue with Outlook 2002 (which is included in Office XP) not saving passwords on Vista or Windows 7, here is a link to a fix:

So, to answer your question: Yes and YES, although I would suggest the latter.

I was actually running Office XP for a while. Later changed to Office 2007 and then to 2010 Beta. All ran pretty well (still running in the case of 2010 Beta) on Windows 7 64-Bit Professional which I'm using.
