Will thermalright 1156 bolththrough kit make my old cooler compatible with 1155 socket?

Hi

I am planning to buy thermalright 1156 bolt through kit to use my old OCZ vendetta 2 (compatible with 775 and core2 extreme etc)with my i5 2500k.

Will this be fine or this kit is compatible with just thermalright coolers?

Any recommendations?

it should fit since 1156 and 1155 are the same mounting size

I know 1156 and 155 are cross compatible..

But I want to know if i can use this kit on lga 775 hsf i.e vendetta 2 or this kit is only for thermal right coolers?

I think the OCZ is limited to using OCZ supplied brackets, do you have any MOD link up that specifies anyone who has bootstrapped a Thermalright Bolt-Thru kit to the OCZ Vendetta II?

The heatsink used here is very much similar to my vendetta..So I am thinking to to give it a try..Any recommendations?

As such, each bolthrough kit is compatible to only their own brand cooler everything else is simply not covered. Though if you do get lucky do post so that others may benefit.....
