Will vista x86 driver work in vista x64 in compatibility mode

hi guys I was thinking of installing vista 64 bit on my laptop. just wanted to know from the software gurus whether 32bit driver will work in vista 64 bit in compatibility mode . thanks
 
I don't think it will work. Both the architecture are different. 64 bit OS can take 32 bit applications native in compatibility mode but not drivers.
Drivers need to be 64 bit and signed, else would be rejected by the OS.

For a laptop, i would prefer 32 bit if u don't have drivers and need to download. Lappy drivers unless given by manufacturer are pain to find and forget 64 bit drivers for a laptop. :no:
 
No it wont work. i have hathway x86 drivers which doesnt work in vista x64.. though i am using Vista x64.. it rox in speed and gaming!!
 
thanks guys for the immediate reply i have all the lappy x64 drivers except huawei T1 ETS2288 . Thats the problem .
Huawei website doesnt have it and i have googled it . didnt have much success do any of the gurus or forum members know or heard about it ??
