Just when it seemed it was all over for Federer, he has reeled just back Nadal! 2 sets each now!

Federer's playing quite badly but he manages to get some fantastic returns when it counts! Nadal is slaughtering him but I wonder if he's running out of power. Federer gets some nice aces but as good as Ivanisevic? I don't think so :p Last set...this should be interesting.
 
yea...that was a brilliant comeback by Fed....return of the King!!......that back hand pass to save the match....was simply astounding...its still etched in my memory!!!....unbelievable!
 
Damn....what a match so far....6-4,6-4,7-6,7-6...i'm eating my shorts now!

Nadal lost a championship point....

And its rain again....b@$#@d rain!

yea....great match.....the best till date i guess......but sadly it was the demise of the King!....well played Rafa, he was simply scintillating! fully deserves the title!....now its off to the US open..lets see what happens!
 
This was really hard for Nadal and he JUST made it. In comparison, Federer's previous Wimbledon wins over Nadal have been easier. Federer would've lost the game in the 3rd set itself. I feel a little sorry for Federer for having fought so hard to come back! I don't think he was playing his best and he just wouldn't make Nadal run :( Very good match and a well earned victory.

Now I guess that makes it 4 more consecutive ones like this for Nadal to match Federer? :p
 
WHat a match. Well worth staying awake till 2AM on Monday.

Nadal is a deserving winner. Federer had little luck on his side with that timely rain break and quiet a few challanges going his way ( still dont understand how can that freakin piece of technology takes whole ball surface into account when actual touch area must be much less than that even with the ball flex ).

But in the end the result is what it should have been. Nadal played exceptionally well. As Federer himself said, he tried everything and Nadal was running and catching everything and getting the ball back.

Exceptional match between exceptional players. Did anyone catch the smile of Borg? :p
