Windows Win 10 recent update search not working

Ever since I updated windows 10 the search works only for first time thereafter the box behaves as if its disabled.

IS anyone facing similar issue?

yes this is known broken in latest windows 1909 update.

1909 ? my Spectre keeps bugging me to install 1903

Now i see the optional 1909 update, the fix will only arrive in Jan according to this. workaround is

If you are having issues with File Explorer search and you are tempted to reboot your PC, you can just restart Windows Explorer and the search bar will work again.

To unfreeze search bar, open Task Manager, select “Windows Explorer” and then click the “Restart” button.
