i was trying to connect my 3G USB Modem to my laptop after a month or so to my laptop running windows 7. Laptop was running fine until when i press connect the blue screen appears and laptop auto-restarts.

In the blue screen it shows Dumping Physical Memory.

When the dumping physical memory completes 100%, laptop reboots

screenshots taken in safe mode with networking below showing windows error message after restart.

Re: Win 7 : Screen going blue showing "Dumping Physical Memory" and doing auto-restar

Update all the chipset drivers. Just overlay them again.

UPDATE :

Its solved now... Thanks a lot to the guys at Microsoft answers and sevenforums :clap:.

This is what happened......

i asked the same question in microsoft answers and person asked me for the minidump files, so i uploaded them.

and in 3 min he comes up with the cause of the problem and its solution.

The culprit is Connectify, an application which i installed on my pc to turn it into an access point so as to use net on my ZTE Blade.

One of the drivers of connectify (connctfy.sys) was causing memory dump to disk .

i got rid of the connectify and the Modem is working just fine :D.

If you wan't to take a look at the useful threads here they are..
