My experience with Windows 7 is getting hampered by the sad video playback. I'm on the RC1 right now and this issue was there in the beta also.

The problem is that all the vids, SD or HD come all pixelated in the video players. I've tried VLC and Storm Codec and it seriously sucks. Not being able to watch anything.

Is anyone having the same problem and can offer some solution?

EDIT: Okay, tried fiddling around with the settings.. if you set the output to Haali in Media Player Classic, the issue is fixed :)

PS: Can't get it to work in VLC... So if anyone knows how to fix that, it would be great!

Aha! I thought i was going a bit crazy when my 720p vids started pixelating on fullscreen.

@Harsh: Gracias, mate, CCCP+ MPC-HC works like a charm, no strange pixelation.

Even without CCCP, using EVR Custom pres. in output panel of MPC-HC and default MPC video codec.. most of my HD files worked fine under Win7 RC1.

But YES... CCCP rox0rs!! :P

^ You can use the option of Directx 3D for playback.. that is the video output in the advanced settings IIRC. The Aero will be turned off but the video will play just fine.

This is obviously a codec issue and installing a better codec for the video type you are using will probably completely correct this for you. :)
