Win7 64 bit freezes at startup logo

Ok this is confusing.
I used to have Win7 64 bit and WIN32 bit with 2 GB DDR3 RAM installed on my PC and everything was fine until I added a 4 GB stick this week.

Now, the 64 bit OS doesn't go beyond the start up logo. The logo tries loading and it freezes. If I remove the 4 GB RAM it works fine again. I made sure that I bought the RAMs that are compatible with each other.

The thing is when I load it in WIN7 32 bit with both the RAMS installed, it starts fine without any problem and the configuration in the properties says 6GB(3GB usable) So I dont think it's the problem with the RAM. I know 32 bit only supports maximum of 3 GB that is why I want to use 64 bit.

I tried changing the hard disk from IDE to AHCI, it didn't work. Tried installing 64 bit OS again but it freezes at the same point again.

Please help I really want to run Win7 64 bit with 6GB RAM.

Wonderful. Now the the 32bit OS doesn't start either. It gives me 2 options, repair and start normally.
If I select repair I get a notification that windows is loading files and then get a blank screen.
If I select start windows normally it goes till the welcome screen and I get that blue dump memory screen for a moment and restarts. It sucks i can't boot either os... Can't open in safe mode either.
Please help.

If the RAM is faulty it shouldn't run in 32bit either right?
I've come across 4GB sticks which pass windows memory test and still failed to boot windows or after booting into windows, windows crashed with a bsod. I have a feeling that Windows 7 does not conduct proper testing of the memory after it passes the 2 or 2.5 GB mark. Windows 8 memory test showed errors on that same stick of ram which 7 failed to show.
