Windows Windows 10 file copy and sound issue

This is what I observed since yesterday.

Whenever I try to copy from anywhere to anywhere and if music is playing in any of the music players, during the copying process the music slutters and sound appears sluggish and whole system feels very slow and cursor moves as if he is drunk.

This was known issue in days of win xp but now haunting me inm win 10 but never faced this in win 7 and win 8.

What could be the possible reasons??

Everything is fine in device manager.

Have you changed any sound card ports, disk ports (SATA sockets) recently? Have you changed any BIOS settings recently?

Tried manually "Update Driver" option from device manager for your sound card and disk drives?

Check if HPET is enabled in BIOS. I remembered a case when disabling the same helped. Though was Windows 7, methinks.

I sorted it.

Enabled 32-Bit file transfer in bios for all hard drives. (dont know how it got turned off)
Attached that specific hdd directly to pc without casing.

So far so good.
