So we had some similar individual threads in the past.
I think it is time we should have a common thread to counter these notorious issues as every new update bring backs these issue which we fixed by a way or two which again seems to reappear or becomes worse.
A simple voting which will help us analyze most of the issues faced and hunt solutions and help resolve the issues in every possible manner.
We shall all come together to address these issues and contribute in every possible way.
To begin,
As per my recent observation, "microsoft.photos.exe" was eating a lot of memory plus disk causing unusual slowness even though many users dont use this inbuilt photo browsing tool.
The usual end-task to this process works fine temporarily but gain it spikes up sooner or later as it is a part of the os services.

To reconfigure/re-register the apps like factory reset, for current user/all users or individual app.....

Try disabling the in-built apps as suggested here:
