Windows Windows 10 upgrade query

I have not upgraded any on my PCs to 10 from 8.1 yet , will i loose the installed softwares if i upgrade ? and any other issues that i should look out for while upgrading ?

All files and software will be transferred to Windows 10 if you want it to. During the installation wizard, it will ask you if you want to keep all files. In your case, you would want it to keep all of your files.

Yes, you could lose some of the softwares if deemed as not compatible. Please make a note of the softwares and ensure you have a backup disk. None of the files would be deleted though.

I don't think the installer will continue if it finds any incompatible software, primary example mcafee..
