1. I bought a new Processor, MoBo and RAM yesterday. Attached them to my PC.
2. Booted with the Seagate Drive Tools (DOS) and totally erased my Primary Hard Disk (160GB ATA).
3. Then, tried booting via Windows 7 x64 (original) DVD but the computer didn't recognise it.
4. So, transferred the setup to a USB FDD and booted via that. Setup file loaded and I chose the partition and started installing.
5. Somewhere around the 15% mark, it gave me an error message, saying that some file were corrupt and Installation would be cancelled.
6. So, I let this plan slide and downloaded Ubuntu 10.10 over the night and tried installing that on the PC.
7. As soon as the PC started, I got this message
8. Tried twice-thrice, but still got the message everytime.
9. Tried booting via
a. Windows 7 x64 setup in USB FDD
b. Windows XP x64 CD
c. Seagate Drive Tools (DOS) CD <--- for totally erasing the Hard Disk again
but still got the same message.
Now, what do I do?
PS - I do have a secondary HDD of 500GB, SATA. But it is already split into partitions, although it does have 30-35GB space free in one partition. Can I use that for solving this issue? And how?
