NEW DELHI: Computer users in India will soon be able to buy Microsoft’s new operating system Windows 7 to replace their old operating systems, as
the government has removed the anomalies in taxation of packaged software sold through physical media.
The Windows 7 consignment to India was held up at the Customs because of a tax dispute leading to a possible double taxation, leaving many customers disappointed who were hoping to upgrade from Windows XP and the more recent Vista.
So, where can we buy it from? Where on the shelfs?
