hey,

I'm going to install Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion DV6 1152tx Lappy.. I saw on HP website, there's no driver available for Windows 7 on laptop product page..

Will my existing Vista drivers work on Windows 7? I mean for fingerprint reader, webcam, inbuilt microphone, will they work well?

They should. Also Windows Update will have drivers for these things, so no need to worry about that.

man im using win7 on my hp dv6 n its working like a charm...it picks evry drivers automatically n the drivers i only installd is of my fingerprint (vista driver) n nvidia driver frm nvidia site

Well most of friends have installed WIn 7 on their DELL and HP and none of them had any problems with drivers. So you can expect the same :)

I have always hated Windows update but with the new Windows 7, Microsoft seems to have revamped its Update site. I’ve been using Windows 7 since its beta days and it has found drivers for almost all devices. Either the driver is already built-in or it finds it on Windows Update and installs it automatically. It was just plug-n-play for me. I was wow’d by the seamless operation with the new device connected. For the one or two odd devices, vista’s drivers worked fine since the underlying base is similar. The Windows 7 drivers aren’t on HP’s site because it is not public as yet. The launch date is October 22nd, so wait until then to find it on HP’s site.

Finally, Installed Windows 7 on Laptop..

everything went smooth except Bluetooth.. It just not working... Tried installing new drivers from broadcomm website, it says please turn on the bluetooth.. From where should I turn it on?

Any Solution?

First check if yours is a broadcom chip or a bluesoleil chip. Get this utility which tells you if your Bluetooth hardware is compatible with bluesoleil. Get the appropriate software/drivers from their site (you need to buy them) and it should work.
My Bluetooth dongle and headset were wroking just fine in the beta days. From 7's RC days, the problem started and hasn't gotten solved. I installed the trial version of Bluesoleil and it works fine but I don't want to install it. It should be working natively. I don't know why this particular driver was removed from Windows Update.
