I am not able to open all .jpg extension files in windows 7 photo viewer:( the message i am getting is
is there any setting is to be done or from where to update windows photo viewer

NEED HELP

He meant check if there is an update related to photo viewer or Win 7 OS. Also are you sure that those images are not corrupted? Can they be seen elsewhere?

no update is available for photo viewer. and i am sure images are not corrupted because i tried these images in windows xp they open normally with no issue
 
try picasa/irfanview in windows 7 and check...i think unless u screw up the photo viewer the windows update might not catch it.!
 
Have you installed any "beta" version or a stable release?

The beta version might have bugs :).

I recommend you to try any other photo - viewer before re - installing windows.

And if nothing works, then this option should be considered.

i am using windows 7 64bit 7600 version, i re installed it and problem was solved,think there must be some registry problem:)
