Windows 7 right click issue !!! Plz help

hello guys, today all of a sudden the right click is causing serious issues in windows 7. Whenever i right click on any icon, folder or my computer or recycle bin or anything (except the desktop screen), the pc hangs up and i get the close program dialog box . I closed it after that. Again the same issue.

I checked my pc for virus, spyware, etc with bitdefender but nothing is found. Is there a registry fix or patch for this issue.

Try doing a complete error scan on your system hdd with hdtune or some other app. maybe some badsectors have formed in your primary hdd. This can also be a case of a single corrupt system file.

No mate. I have found out what is causing this issue. It is caused by bitdefender av. Just deactivating / activating the realtime scan resolves this issue...

We always blame the hdd for these types of errors...
