PC Peripherals Windows 7 showing 3.5gb ram usable out of installed 4gb after installing 64 bit

hey guyz i have just installed windows 7 64 bit to utilise my 4gb ram
i also have installed all the necessary drivers but the ram is showing 3.5gb usable out of total 4 gb

what is the problem ?

please help me

actually the above problem is in my friend's pc and in my pc too i am having IGP but i can utilise full 4gb ram. Why so ?
 
What is DxDiag showing. Also see if there are options in the BIOS to change the share of IGP mapping. Is there any BIOS update available for the board. Before you flash it, do make sure it addresses this issue, else no point.

You can also try one more thing. Shut down the computer and reset the CMOS. Then BOOT with only one DIMM. Then shut down, and plug in the secondary. By the way, I have it the other way round. Win7 interface shows 6 GB ram and then in brackets 4 GB usable.

What does CPU-Z show for you..?

This generaly happens when u share xtra memory over the share alloted to the IGP.
This also happens cuz of some driver versions.
Please boot into safe mode and then check.
 
the shared memory is referred to as Frame Buffer under bios.

just go under 785G/IGP menu under BIOS and just look for the option which shows you 128/256/512 as option :P
 
After getting into BIOS Press control+F1 to get int advanced mode... then go into advanced BIOS features.

Please read page 46 of the manual or download the manual.

hey thanks man, i was able to find the frame buffer thing and now its showing 3.87 usable and thats the max it can show
