Oh..Well......then they don't allow "Downgrade XP" program in their netbook lineup.

I have VIAO lappy and it can be downgraded to XP..... all drivers are listed for that product.

So your only option to load Ubuntu, If you don't like Win 7 Starter.

I don't think Huwaei E1550 will be a problem........only you stuck if u need to run MS Excel/Acess program
 
The best thing out there which can do is "John's Background Changer" . I have been using this for over a year now. It can put RSS / Local FIles/ Google Searches/Bing Searches/etc as your rotating wallpaper

It is a freeware and you will absolutely love it :)

Glad to know desktop wallpaper can be changed in the starter edition. I used it for some days and felt it is faster (just felt it could me in my mind!)
 
Actually these netbooks are not altogether powerless. A friend was running Windows Vista on his (almost 3 months now) as he was unable to get either XP or 7.
