Laptops Windows 7 upgrade on HP laptops

Did Any body ordered free Windows 7 upgrade on HP laptop ?

Pls share your experience.

Also is there any other ways for free upgrade, like going to HP service station and hand over laptop to them for installing windows 7 in it?

I dont know about Dell, But HP is charging 799 for shipping and recovery media.

Did anybody get the upgrade from HP? Isn't the shipping and other charges too much (799)?

I think they are providing recovery media and manual for installation, So for that they might be charging.

And Of course it's too much.

Anyways gonna go to HP Distributor from where I have purchased the lappy, will update here if something new comes up.

Until then If someone has already received the same, Pls share somethin' here.

As far as I know, windows 7 kit would be start delivering to customer i second week of December from HP itself.
