hi,

I have windows 8.1 installed on my pc, the problem is windows store, after install i get the following error when ever i am downloading any free apps. I don't use a credit card or debit card nor do i purchase paid apps.

Error is as follows :

Your purchase couldn't be completed
Something happened and your purchase can't be completed, Error code 0x80240436

What have i tried to resolve it ?
1. Reset the windows store
2. Reset the windows store cache
3. Microsoft fix it to fix the store

None of the above work and i have no clues how to sort this for my child.

Format. Windows. and. Upgrade. to. Windows. 10.

But seriously, it would be an issue with the account. See if the issue exists with a new hotmail account.
