NO, dont try to install it on a PC with other OS'es

it is recommended that you install in on a separate PHYSICAL drive, not partition

I am using windows 8 with win 7, both are in separate HDD's but dual boot.

No problems so far. Although it first boots to win 8 then show selection for the os and if I choose win7 it restarts system and directly boots to win 7 with no os selection menu.

I don't think you need to install in a separate physical drive. any partition other than c drive will be ok.

I have no space in my primary hdd , that's why I installed it on other HDD.

its a developer release, so it will be unstable, have bugs,etc..

but primary reason being that you cannot uninstall it. Having it on a separate HDD makes it easier to just format it off without having to mess with the bootloader in any way.

I have a laptop :(
so i guess i have to wait till RC launches??

and btw, y not?

Thats because it changes the boot loader, so if you want to un-install/remove win8, you will need to repair the bootloader again. Also its buggy for me, I am using a celeron 530 1.73ghz laptop with 2gb ddr2 ram, 80gb hdd and IGP is intel x3100. Also dont forget to keep your drivers ready too.

Also you will need to install it to a separate partition, so if you don't have any extra partitions, just shrink yours till you have around 10~12 GB free.

Buddy, that cannot be done on most of the laptops as they have only one HDD.

Swap your HDD, if you have a spare one.

Thats what I did. 15 min. installation, all drivers worked OOTB. Metro sux though

Using it as my primary OS for the past few days..

No issues with normal operation but games are having problems running. Crysis 2 crashes in DX11 mode. The Cursed Crusade also crashes immediately.

Will return back to Win 7 x64 till Beta 1/2

It did not have my intel x3100 IGP drivers, and also the same for sata ahci. it thinks my HDD is removable, shows up in the removable devices, but option is grayed out.

Also whenever i dial my pppoe connection, it gives a BSOD. seems this is a problem with the RTL 8139 chip, as another user on a differant foralso reported the same. otherwise every thing works ok, but is quite slow and metro sucks big time.
