I have Toshiba C870 laptop. It has one USB 3.0 port.Windows 8 enterprise dtects this automatically and installs usb 3.0 driver.I recently bought a Sony Microvault usb 3.0 16gb oen drive and I am only getting write speed of around 15MBps and read speed of 80MBps. So I tried installing different USB 3.0 driver one provided by toshiba ,other from intel website and another from realtek but I cannot install any of them as Windows keep saying driver is up to date and does not install the driver. How an i force windows to install my driver??

What speed are u expecting?

Firstly, you cant expect more than 30 MBps from a USB2.0 port. If you are getting 80MBps read speeds, that means the USB3.0 port is working fine.

As to the lower write speeds, that's dependent on the drive. Some drives give good read speeds but poor write speeds.

But from reading reviwes of my pendrive from different websites I gather some people are getting 30MBps write speed/I am getting half of that!

if you have the driver files with you then can't you change them as we used to do in XP or Win7? i don't use Win8 but you should be able to it the old way:

the guy is getting 30MBps so I tried what he did but no luck
