Windows Freezes some times while loading

Hi Guys,

I am facing a problem with with my new rig.

While the loading progress bar is loading in Win XP + SP2 it freezes some times.

After that when i reboot we get different options like
- Safe mode
- start with prev best setting
- start normally

when i select start with prev best it boots properly.
also when i open my side panel and tighten the wires it boot properly.
But once that login screen comes and i login it works without ne issues.

My Rig can be found in siggy.

Do u require ne other details please let me know.
I feel that this is a software issue.
Also my ISP Pacenet's Dialer is having some problems with SP2 so i uninstalled it.

ok quad, first & foremost it is some device driver problem on startup, just add the /sos switch to the boot.ini file either manually by editing the boot.ini file or using msconfig.

it will show the driver as they load on startup, keep a eye on where it gets stuck & post back.

also do you have any pata hdd ?

Dont really know whether this is applicable for ur prob or not. I had the same problem.. the PC use to hang randomly at the Windows loading screen. Then accidently I realised that whenever I disabled the firewall of the LAN connection, the PC used to hang. Since the time I have started keeping the firewall enabled, I havent got any probs

I have disabled onboard lan.
1 is disabled in BIOS [Nvida]
1 is disabled in Windows [Marvell] enable when i log in windows.
Windows Firewall is disabled as i use my a seperate Firewall Software.
