Windows X64 file sharing issues..

hello everyone..

Here im posting a weird issue which i am facing since long time with X64 operating system..

i used following:

Windows Vista x64

Windows 7 RTM x64

both the above OS shows computer in network but im unable to access files.. same happens with my laptop which have following OS

however, im able to share files via public folder...

Windows Vista x86

Windows 7 RC2 x86

so are there any bugs for file sharing in X64 OS?

when i used to have Vista x86 installed, i used to share files easily on my network..

please help me
 
i google regarding this problem, some say its a virus problem but i dont think so that none of the PC or laptop got virus..

please help me on this sharing issue..
 
Its not a virus problem.

First have you shared the folder you want to share by going to properties? and select access to everyone..

Then check the network settings

Go to network and sharing centre, make the network your home network, and then also check the advanced settings on the left hand side..
 
nopez.. tried it wit DNS.. facing same problem... installed NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS protocol sprtly.. but ...NOTHING :@

in vista x32 all works fine..

sumthing wrong with 64bit
