I am using windows 7 with xp pro on my pc. Yesterday i had to reinstall my xp as it was not opening up and could not be repaired.

After installing xp, i am not able to use win 7 which was earlier shown when my pc starts as dual system but now my pc starts directly in xp.

i am using xp in c: drive and Windows 7 in D: drive.

Pls tell me how to restore the dual configration as earlier.

Regards

just use vistaboot pro and do as below. after doing the below steps just u have to change the name to windows 7 in vistaboot pro

Open VistaBootPRO, ignore the prompt to backup your BCD. Go to the System Bootloader tab, select "Windows Vista Bootloader" in the first section and "All Drives" in the second section and then click Install Bootloader . Next, go to the Diagnostics item on the menu bar and select "Run Diagnostics". VistaBootPRO will default back to the Manage OS Entries page and you will see that you now have entries there for "Windows 7" as well as "Earlier version of Windows". Change the name of the Windows XP entry using VistaBootPRO if you wish. Restart your system and select the operating system you would like to boot to.

I tried the above software but it didn't helped as it is made for XP and Vista and it was not able to detect Win7 on my PC.

Regards

boot into the Wndows 7 Cd and when given the choice to install, look for the repair option like Vista... at least I think Windows 7 has the feature... can anyone confirm this please.

No, nothing from the above helped.

I think i will again have to install Windows 7.

Pls tell me what is Win7 Ultimate version X64 and X86 flying all over the net and also in the torrent sites.
