Windows XP Error 0x80070002

Hi guys,

Have you ever run across this error:

"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error code: 0x80070002."

I get it just after inputting my XP pro password. After this sometimes the pc logs in but most programs don't work at all, my docs folder shows up empty, etc.

MS says i shud delete some Reg keys which are actually not present.

try this.

Start > Run > Type services.msc

Find Software Licensing service.

Start if its stopped. Restart it if its started already.

Restart the system

Still nogo?... reinstall windows

^ thats a good option.. but i highly doubt as license issues are on a real time basis.
