Windows XP - Explorer loading problem

Hey folks!

Some problem with my winxp since yday. It takes less time to boot. But it shows only the wallpaper with the mouse pointer and nothing more loads. All you can do is press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and task manager opens. There too you don't get to see the username. It is blank.

Sometimes, it loads until the systray gets loaded, but u don't get to see any icons on the desktop.

After quite a struggle closing and opening explorer.exe sometimes it gets in and you start working as normal. Why does this happen?

Nothing much man,
just opened msconfig and tried to run only the specific services i knew
and it works fine now. Need to run it a bit longer to see if the problem resurfaces again :) :hap2:
